Effective June 1, 2026, Scouting America is expanding access to Scouting for military-connected youth by waiving the $85 national youth registration fee for eligible families. This program applies to youth members only and is available for both new and renewing online registrations. The initiative is funded nationally through philanthropic efforts.
Eligible families include those with current service in the Active Duty, Reserve, or National Guard. The waiver covers only the national youth registration fee, reducing the

Reminder to All Adult Leaders: Any pre-existing 'Youth Protection Training (YPT)' will expire on May 31st.
To remain active in scouting you must complete the new 90 min. 'Safeguarding Youth Training' available on my.scouting.org. IF you have already updated your training to the new 'Safeguarding Youth Training' but it is now up for renewal, you may complete the 20 min refresher instead. Safeguarding Youth Training is valid for one year (rather than YPT's two) but can be renewed by completing the 20 min. refresher (if not expired). For additional details and links see below,
Scouting America - "The results of a new research study, "Eagle Scouts: A Legacy of Values-Based Leadership and Service," were revealed during the 2026 National Annual Meeting. Scouting America partnered with The Harris Poll to survey thousands of adults and study how Eagle Scouts compare to people who have not participated in Scouting.
The results demonstrate the strong advantage Eagle Scouts gain and provide a powerful message about the value of Scouting to prospective members and donors.
